Royle, Nicholas “The Larder,” The Second Spectral Book of Horror Stories. This is one that I’ve been seeing quite a bit of hate for in the comments recently (specifically on this post ) and I will never understand why. It shows that the world is only as big as your imagination and is full of potential friends, waiting to be discovered, no matter where you live. ‘O tell me the truth about love.’ W. Crenshaw’s “The Death of Love” puts that red to good use in a vampire story with a twist, one that openly calls out the so-called “eroticism” of vampire fiction as thinly-disguised rape fantasies.

A.: Extreme Horror Anthology is a collection of twenty-nine short stories and they are all extreme and disturbing. I also love to edit all-original thematic anthologies, having done several of those (and more to come…). Includes contributions from Divid Bischoff, Matt Christopher and Ward Smith. Still, it’s a fun show for Bakshi completists and fans of oddball sci-fi animation. This is arguably the last of Michel's far out anthologies, his later work following a more traditional approach.
